 Review of existing system:

The existing combi-boiler was 15 years old and had stopped working all together, so there was no heating or hot water for this young family.

The challenge:

Given the nature of the job, as an emergency, it requires a lot of thinking on your feet. We had the challenge of sourcing the right equipment to be picked up so that the replacement of the existing boiler could take place the next day. The boiler breakdown required a fast solution in February 2021 – it was a particularly cold snap!

The existing boiler couldn’t be repaired due to the age and cost implications of repairing it; so it was agreed a replacement would be the best option.

Following on from arranging the equipment we then set about speaking to our existing clients with appointments for the following day, to re-arrange these bookings so we could get cracking with the fitting for the next day. A boiler breakdown is something we would prioritise in our workload.

The result:

Removal of the current boiler and replacement with a brand-new 40kw Ideal Vogue boiler. Fitted and up and running within 24 hours of the initial call. The client was delighted to have hot water so that she could bathe her children, and heating; which is clearly a fundamental we all need.
